How we handle your data
This Privacy Policy explains how Verlane (Veniamin Rybnikov) processes personal data when you use the app. You are the data controller for content you upload; we process it on your behalf to provide the service.
To answer you in chat and to write suggestions, tailored resumes, cover letters, application answers and health checks, we send the parts of your resume, Mindbase and chat that the task needs to an AI provider. Which provider depends on the task:
This means that when you use AI features, your data is sent to companies outside the EU. The European Commission has not recognised China as protecting personal data to the same standard as the EU.
We do not sell your data. Verlane itself does not train AI models on your content. That could change in the future — if it does, we will update this policy and tell you before it takes effect.
Anthropic's terms for business customers forbid it from training its models on what we send. DeepSeek's terms for business customers do not say whether it may use what we send to train its models, so we cannot promise that it will not.
Your account and database data are stored on Supabase servers in the EU (Paris, France). The app is hosted on Vercel. When you use AI features, the parts of your data a task needs are also sent to the AI providers above — see AI processing.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete content from Mindbase and resumes in the app. You can delete your entire account from Profile → Delete account.
Privacy requests: rybnikov.veniamin@gmail.com
Essential cookies/session storage are required to keep you signed in. Non-essential analytics (e.g. Vercel Web Analytics) will only run after cookie consent when enabled.
We also record which product features you use and when (for example resume saved, tailoring run, or download) as event names and timestamps in our database to improve Verlane. We never store the text of your resume, Mindbase entries, or chat in this usage log.
